touchRESPIRATORY is delighted to welcome Dr S Shahzad Mustafa to our Editorial Board. Dr Mustafa serves as the Division Head of Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology at Rochester Regional Health, where he provides care to both adult and paediatric patients. His clinical and research interests span immunodeficiency, asthma, asthma biologics, and the interplay between asthma, allergic rhinitis, and chronic sinusitis.
A distinguished member of professional societies including the AAAAI, ACAAI, and FAACT, Dr Mustafa is deeply committed to advancing the understanding and management of allergic and respiratory diseases. His research also explores quality of life considerations in food allergy and secondary immunodeficiency resulting from malignancy and chemotherapeutics.
Dr Mustafa expressed enthusiasm for cross-specialty collaboration to improve patient care. Reflecting on his decision to join the Editorial Board, he shared his hopes to “Partner with a different specialty than my own to advance the management of disease states managed by both specialties.”
