Dr Tejaswini Kulkarni joins our Editorial Board, bringing expertise in interstitial lung diseaseA nationally and internationally recognised expert in interstitial lung disease and pulmonary fibrosis, Dr Kulkarni’s research is centred on identifying imaging and clinical biomarkers that enhance prediction of disease progression and therapeutic response in ILD. She is actively involved as a principal and co-investigator in multiple clinical trials evaluating novel therapies, underscoring her commitment to translating research advances into meaningful clinical benefit.

Dr Kulkarni plays a highly active leadership role within major professional societies. She is Chair of the ILD Section at the American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST) and serves on several committees within the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF). She is also a member of the American Thoracic Society, contributing across organisations to education, collaboration and innovation in ILD care. Her work reflects a strong dedication to advancing standards of care while supporting professional development within the respiratory community.

In joining the Editorial Board, Dr Kulkarni is particularly interested in creating engaging educational content that translates emerging evidence into practical insights for clinicians. She is motivated by the opportunity to help shape the journal’s scientific direction, ensuring the publication of high-quality, clinically relevant research that improves diagnosis, treatment and quality of life for patients with ILD.
