XII Edition of the International Workshop on Lung Health: Innovative Medicine

16-18th January 2025 Lisbon, Portugal

The theme of the XII Edition is INNOVATIVE MEDICINE. We want to embrace all the most recent updates, discoveries and unmissable research outputs that are enriching day by day the respiratory field. Thanks to the commitment of the experts, in mutual and fruitful cooperation with the pharmaceutical industry, authorities and – most of all – colleagues from other areas, we are proud to say that the Respiratory Medicine is meeting a new era where important outcomes and milestones have been reached.

Opening the Workshop with Respiratory Infections, we will then focus – dedicating to these topics the central day of the meeting – on Asthma and COPD. The approach to two of the main pathologies of the field, will be totally renovated: our aim is to give voice to the recent studies where innovation is not just a word but a concrete path of facing issues and reaching objectives to improve the management of the pathologies and the patients’ quality of life. We will conclude the XII IWLH dedicating Saturday Morning to the most recent outcomes on respiratory research: transplantation and recent new therapeutic options, NTM and its difficult management, Alpha 1 and other important emerging issues will be protagonist of the closing sessions.

As every year, we believe that the effort and contributions of the young generation is the core element of IWLH. The Rising Stars Session opens the Workshop and the FUHEL Programme will accompany a group of 10/12 Young Researchers and Clinicians in a 3 days of mentoring.
