We are delighted to welcome Dr Alexander G Mathioudakis, Senior Lecturer in Respiratory Medicine at the University of Manchester and Honorary Consultant Respiratory Physician at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, to the Editorial Board of touchREVIEWS in Respiratory & Pulmonary Diseases and touchRESPIRATORY.
Dr Mathioudakis brings a wealth of expertise in airway diseases, with a particular focus on disease phenotypes, personalized medicine, and clinical research methodology. His work also spans evidence-based medicine and health policy, positioning him as a leading voice in advancing high-quality, clinically impactful respiratory research.
Reflecting on his new role, Dr Mathioudakis shared: “It is a pleasure to join the editorial board of touchRESPIRATORY. I welcome the opportunity to contribute to the dissemination of high-quality respiratory research, to engage with colleagues across the field, and to remain closely connected with emerging clinical and scientific developments.”

He is an active member of the respiratory community, regularly participating in leading conferences, such as the European Respiratory Society (ERS) Congress.
