Welcome to the winter 2019 edition of US Respiratory & Pulmonary Diseases. We hope you will enjoy this interesting selection of articles. Editorial Board member Carolyn M D’Ambrosio introduces the issue, and asks readers to contribute to the winter 2020 edition. This edition features expert interviews with Scott Bickel on inhaled corticosteroid therapy and the impact of formulary changes on asthma control, Kevin Davidson on e-cigarettes and the outbreak on lipoid pneumonia in North Carolina, and Mary Cataletto on the concern around the use of electronic cigarettes among young people. We also include a review article on a combination therapy for Phe508del cystic fibrosis—elexacaftor-tezacaftor-ivacaftor, by Shinjing Jia and Jennifer L Taylor-Cousar. Finally, we have a case report by Casey Morris et al. on disseminated nocardiosis masquerading as an obstructive endobronchial mass.
