After a successful 8th World Bronchiectasis Conference 2025 in Brisbane, with over 1100 delegates from across the globe, we are thrilled to announce that WBC will return to where it all began in Hannover, Germany (June 24-27, 2026) – marking 10 years of breakthroughs in bronchiectasis research and treatment.

A Decade of Innovation

Since our inaugural event in 2016, WBC has brought together a passionate and committed global community of healthcare professionals, researchers, and scientists – all focused on understanding and addressing bronchiectasis and its associated conditions.

Over the past decade, WBC has proudly contributed to a number of extraordinary developments in:

  • Innovative research– transforming the way we diagnose and treat bronchiectasis
  • Collaboration– between researchers, clinicians, scientific and patient associations to improve patient care
  • Supporting emerging leaders– through our Rising Stars and Junior Professionals Program, offering junior researchers a platform to showcase their work and gain invaluable feedback

WBC unites clinicians, researchers, allied health professionals, patients and industry leaders with a common goal to improve the lives of people living with bronchiectasis: a chronic lung disease causing persistent coughing, infection and lung damage.

“The World Bronchiectasis Conference is more than a scientific conference. It’s a global movement; a dynamic hub for bright ideas,”

Dr Lucy Burr, Associate Professor
(University of Queensland School of Medicine and WBC 2025 Chair)
